This Week on the Internet

We've had some fun summer days around here. Alternating between cleaning and mess-making. Overdoing it and resting. We're looking forward to a fun family-filled Fourth of July. Hope you have a good one too!

Now for the Internet:

I've really enjoyed reading this series about mothering around the world. I love how it highlights the cultural differences. Makes me feel like I can be the mom that I want to be, screw convention.

Interesting ideas about intentional learning and setting time aside for it. I'm wondering if my daily news and article reading counts as learning time. I'm not sure what else I would do to fill that time. Non-fiction reading? I do that... that counts, right? Intrigued.

Gwen and I were blasting Disney songs in the car today on the way to the outlet mall for clothes shopping. It was fun - felt like the perfect way to enjoy the five year old girl stage. Then I came home and saw this article. Bah! Whatever. I don't want to feel guilty about her princess obsession. I guess it's just good to be aware of it though. But I'm already aware of it. So... I don't know what I'm saying. I agree, but am frustrated at the same time? I feel stuck. Can't people just start attacking something else now?

These little flower decorations look cute and easy. Filing this one away for later.

Two cool pictures. The world is beautiful.

Mmmmm - making a European sandwich. We'll definitely be having that for dinner next week.

I love these colorful landscapes.

And finally, This. haha. So great.
