This Week on the Internet

Easter egg hunts, loads of candy, dinners with family, sick Jonas, preschool, kindergarten, music class, dr appts. A mix of all the normal things with a few others thrown in to make it a crazy week. With my swollen knee and feet I've got a pretty pronounced limp. I feel like I'm racing from place to place like a turtle or the old hag from Snow White. I don't know if I'm getting nowhere fast, or somewhere slow. Whatever the case, I'm glad that I can walk and get a few things done.

Yeah. Same old. blah blah blah. Now for my highlights from the Internet!

13 Questions to Ask Before You Get Married.

Grocery Shopping has been a struggle for me lately. It's just so much work, tons of planning, time, money energy, decisions. I keep tricking myself into thinking that if I just get the right method down it'll be easier. Yes and no. At any rate - this idea of having a default list of things you usually need is a good idea. Why start from scratch every week, when you don't have to?

I love the look of this spring capsule wardrobe. I'm on the lookout for kelly/emerald green clothes. I've been unsuccessful so far, but I'm not giving up!

Peacock feathers up close looks amazing.

This article about pregnancy depression (no, I'm not pregnant) makes good points and reminded me of a doctor's appointment I had a couple months ago. I was seeing a new doctor and telling him all about what had been going on. He listened carefully, we were talking about what to do next. Then he stopped, leveled me with a direct gaze and said "And how are you handling all this emotionally?". I was speechless. Over many appointments I've gotten very comfortable talking about all kinds of personal physical symptoms, but I was not expecting that. I couldn't help but cry. He was really kind, and we continued looking for solutions. On my way out gave me a nice side hug saying "If I make you cry then you get a hug." It's struck me how unusual that question is to hear from a doctor. I hope it'll become more common.

I can't help but feel like I would enjoy deep cleaning my kitchen more if I took pictures of the whole process. Maybe that's the missing link I've been looking for. Coming soon: Anna's Cleaning Blog. (not really)

Love the art and the perspective: The Internet is Not Real Life.

Carmelized Brown Sugar Oranges with Yogurt.

Solid April Fool's Day joke. And another. And another (want a brownie?). And another.
