We're dressing for summer around here, even though it's still too cold to do so. Just so ready for shorts and sunglasses. I'm pretty sure that positive thinking and action on dressing will start to actually influence the weather. That's how it works right?
There's been lots of relaxing and snuggling on the couch around here. My body is still on the fritz, but we're getting close to a diagnosis. This friday I should get some definitive answers and treatment. In other news, Jonas has a wonky tooth that is loose and ready to go. It's sticking out at an almost 90 degree angle. I'm wondering how long that thing can hold on.
Tess and Molly have a special bond. Mostly Tess sticks her hands in Molly's mouth and Molly puts up with it because Tess gives her half her food. Symbiotic relationship.
I gave in a couple days ago and bough shoes based exclusively on comfort. Turns out comfort is expensive. Ah well, I've dodged the expensive shoe bullet for years now. You can only run and hide for so long. Memory foam is my new best friend. I made the mistake of only trying the shoes on my right foot in the store without realizing that my left foot is more swollen. Time to make some returns. Gosh dang it.
Cousins playing percussion at grandma's.
Jonas is a budding cartoonist. This one cracks me up.
Sleeping through family functions is more acceptable with a baby. Russell gets a free pass for a little longer.
Mock up of our chicken coop plans. There's going to be a lot of winging it and figuring things out on the spot. If it stops raining we'll be able to get started.
The kids had a recital for their awesome music class. Jonas has a teenager's instinct for posing for the camera. haha. I love it.
Gwen was really worried about the recital and afraid of everyone looking at her. At first she wouldn't go up, but then I walked with her and sat by her for a while. Then I snuck off and she was great! I was so proud of her! She totally did it and did wonderfully. She was very dignified up there. Little cutie.
My sister Lauren (left) has been making this quilt for me for months. I love the way it's turning out so much!! We had a quilting bee day to work on it where all the sisters helped out. Turns out my hands are starting to have trouble so I was only able to give emotional support and provide pizza to compensate. I'm so excited for this quilt. Thanks Lauren!
Tess is the best at welcoming someone home. Nose pressed against the window is a great compliment and display of excitement for seeing someone. Granted, that gesture doesn't age well.
Gwen and her best friend Anna have been having fun making picnics for themselves and enjoying the warm weather.
My sister Mary goes into the MTC today. She's going to the California Redlands mission, spanish speaking.
She's going to be amazing on her new adventure! Love you Mary!
