This Week on the Internet

Any guesses on where we've been this week? Shouldn't take many guesses if you read the previous post and/or know us at all. This shot above is the only interesting part of the long drive. It's been eventful and crazy and fun and exhausting. I'll talk about it some other time.

For now - Internet stuff!

My sister is making a beautiful quilt for me!!! I'm so excited! She has got some serious sewing skills and tenacity that are boggling to my mind.

Why you shouldn't take any thought to seriously. I loved this article. I remember the first time I heard this idea was my uncle David saying "You can't keep a bird from flying over your head, but you can keep it from building a nest there". Something that I'm still learning. We are responsible for our minds, yes. But we don't need to feel guilt and analyze the heck out of fleeting thoughts.

I laughed so hard I cried watching this video. Funny how the mustache guy is really normal looking... until he switches faces with his baby. haha. Really, just thinking about it makes me laugh.

I love children's books so much. This site is a great way to search and find new ones. Oh, our poor meager little town library. Sigh. Guess I just need to buy them all.

Toddler playing hide and seek with his parents. This is the best use of a go pro that I've seen.

This explains a principle of tact that I've never thought about explicitly, but somehow have understood. It's helpful to have it drawn out.

Finally I enjoyed this video of advice to young writers. Especially this: If you want to become a poet, an artist — you can’t fight it. If you want to be that, you will. It’s not about desire — it’s about necessity. There’s no other way. - Lars NorĂ©n
