paint and flowers make all the difference

To try to prevent outlandish spending, I've been trying to recycle and re-use what we have/inherited in our house. I painted the chandelier in the kitchen to add some contrast to our sunny bright (& migraine inducing) room and I love how it turned out!

Here's how it looked before we moved in:

And now:

My Grandma gave me the flowers and the vase and I love how cheerful they are. The vase is from England and was my great grandma Anna's.

The color is a really dark teal mixed with navy blue and black. I wanted the color to be rich and deep, but subtle.

haha, jonas is siting on my lap and he's telling me that he doesn't like this light. that we need a new one. Well Jonas, maybe eventually, but for now I think it definitely works.

He does say he likes the flowers though.
