October, I love you
Mmmm, delicious. I just made these banana bread scones and they're soooo good. I'm not sure which is better, the amazing taste or the mouth-watering smell. These scones match the stormy day perfectly. I'm definitely going to be making these again!
I made a couple changes to the recipe: I used 3 ripe frozen bananas, let them thaw and drained the excess liquid (that way you get extra banana flavor without making the scones mushy). I also used non-fat plain greek yogurt, a 1/2 cup of the flour whole wheat, and for half the sugar I used dark brown sugar. Oh, and more cinnamon. Not that I don't think the recipe is good as-is - I just never follow the recipe exactly. I think it's leftover from my rebellious childhood.
