it's official

We're gonna be moving in a couple months. It's kinda bittersweet - this apartment has been our home, we were newlyweds here, and we started a family here. A lot of memories and it's been great. But I'm also excited for what's next. We found a great place and I'm having alot of fun decorating it in my head. We'll see how close i can get reality to match it.

In the meantime I found these good tips on moving. I really have no experience with this so if anyone has any good moving advice please share!

Where is this house? It doesn't matter if you move upstairs, down the block, or across the ocean a move is a move and I do not like packing and cleaning. However, the dreaming and moving in and meeting new people and having new digs is always fun. Good luck. The 10 tips are great!

nah, we didn't buy it. we're just renting for now. It's kind of a trial period, we're gonna see how we like it and go from there. it's not too far - we're excited to be close!

I call myself a moving expert. I have moved 9 times in my 4.5 years of marriage. Call Maceys and have them set aside boxes for you. They are free and perfect sized. Pack by room and label boxes by room. Good luck.

that's a really good idea to label by room. i would put some masking tape on the box with the label if you want to be able to re-label. anyway, labeling makes it really good for when people help you move. that way Stephen can put it right where you'll want to unpack it. highly reccommended. :) oh and actually, having our entire family come help move helped me. joe and matt can carry quite a bit.

Set the date ahead of time and celebrate that you and Russell have so many brothers, willing to help! And two Grandmas who will want to babysit! Stocking the fridge with drinks is a good idea at your new place and the old place. Also, consider paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and maybe paper cups at both places. Let moms and sisters help with snacks and a meal for the movers.
Keep Smiling!
