diy baby socks to tights tutorial

This is really simple, and easy, to the point that I feel kinda stupid posting it. But I really like the result so I wanna share.

I love stripey socks, and tights. My mom gave these (target Circo socks) to Gwen for Valentines Day, and they're cute to wear with jeans, etc. But I wanted to be able to pair them with dresses too. Here's how I did it:

Turn the sock inside out until you see the stitching that's keeping it folded.

Take some small scissors and carefully cut the stitching, making sure not to get the sock.

It'll pull open like this. And when you're finished?

You've got some super long, cute, multi-functional baby socks!

Here they are in action. I love stripes. I know they're pretty in your face colorful and crazy. But isn't dressing your kids in cute semi-ridiculous outfits one of the funnest things about being a mom?
