deep thoughts for the fridge

I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element.
It is my personal approach that creates the climate.
It is my daily mood that makes the weather.
I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous.
I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration.
I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal.

In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized.

If we treat people as they are, we make them worse.
If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming."

- Goethe, 1749-1832
something I need to read everyday.

I love the design and these quotes. Can I have one for my fridge too? Of course...I don't really read things on the fridge. I just put it there. hmm, I'd figure something out.

Abe Lincoln: Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Don't fall for the lie that has snared me in the past, which is feeling guilty that i'm not as happy as i should be.
Lauren Tyler:The best is yet to be, especially since we've got forever!
David O. McKay: Today is a part of eternity. God gave us the gospel to help us be happy and it would be good to start today! (paraphrased:))
