middlemarch

I just finished reading Middlemarch and it is easily one of the best books that I've ever read. I started it kind of reluctantly, thinking that most of the 800 pages were probably going to be filled up with boring and unapplicable stories on the history of the time like other books I've tried before (*cough* Les Miserables). But I was really surprised that it went by really quickly and that it was interesting all the way through. It seemed like a culmination of everything that I learned in my major - Like an interesting psychological example of how realistic expectations of marriage and life in general are directly related to its happiness. Now I kind of want to watch the movie - but i'm sure that it can't meet my expectations after the book being so good. Maybe I'll wait a couple months and then give it a try.
