parenthood & marriage

I love this picture. That is one happy little kid. I also liked what they said about how similar ideas about parenthood makes a big difference in marital happiness.

It's funny, We never really talked about specific things like they did - we just knew that we both wanted kids, and wanted me to stay home and do all the dirty work.

No wait, I mean stay home to take care of them. ( I'm not bitter, promise, just a little overwhelmed :) )

Everything else has just kind of fallen into place. We've been pretty lucky in that way. But I'm starting to see how HUGE parenting really is. And how important it is to be on the same page. I didn't really think about it before. Man am I glad that we have similar ideas or this would be impossible.

So here's a plug from my MFHD major mind: Talk and think about parenthood before you get married - because that's going to be your life. If you're crazy.

No wait, I mean lucky. :)

Love it! Do you ever think you should know more/be an expert considering our major and yet you know NOTHING!? Ha! I do! It definitely helps when you're both on the same page. Yay for great husbands! We both lucked out!
