coming along

Wedding Planning is really starting to pick up speed. Especially now that I've got lots of extra time on my hands and I'm able to get lots of stuff done. So wedding themes have kind of taken a turn to "yes, the reception is in a barn (renovated, but still) and I think it's cool and sticking to it". So I'm kind of going for things that are along that theme. Like using lots of doilies that are from my great grandmas in a modern and cool way:

So it probably won't be this cool because I don't think that we have enough doilies for this to work for every table. But I love the old antiqued look with the fresh arrangement. {via Sweet Paul who coincidentally has tons of amazing things on his blog}

Along with that same idea, I'm totally going to be using all different sizes of Mason Jars filled w/ candles and flowers. The above picture is the best that I could find, but when I do it they're going to have all kinds of different cute ribbons and the flowers are seriously beautiful so I think that we'll be able to pull it off.

Back in High School I asked Russell to Preference which was our first dance together and it was super fun. But my friends and I planned this beautiful and delicious fondue dinner where we had candles hanging from the ceiling in tiny little jars. I can't really do that inside the reception hall, but I'm thinking that I might be able to find a way to do that outside.

I think that it has such a cool effect! and doing it with jar lids makes it pretty easy on the budget as well.
